Do I really need Internet Security Pack?
If you are concerned about your online security, we think choosing an Internet access plan with Internet Security Pack is a smart choice. And there are plenty of reasons to be concerned about your security. Hackers, virus writers, and ID thieves are constantly finding new ways to exploit older protection. Our Internet Security Pack software can help you combat all these threats.

You should receive the security software on a CD in your DSL welcome kit. Installing from the CD is the fastest and easiest way to get started. If you don't have the CD, you can sign in to My Account and order a new CD or download the software. Note: the time to download will vary based on your connection speed:

• Dial-up (at 56Kbps): approximately 2 hours
• DSL: approximately 12 minutes
• Installation from CD: less than 5 minutes

Can I get Internet Security Pack if I have PeoplePC Accelerated or Unlimited Dial-Up?
No. We offer our Internet Security Pack software exclusively to PeoplePC DSL access members. If you are currently a PeoplePC member with another service, click here to upgrade.

Can I get Internet Security Pack if I'm not a PeoplePC member?
No. We offer our Internet Security Pack software exclusively to PeoplePC DSL access members.

Can I use Internet Security Pack along with other security software I already have?
Probably not. In most cases, you can only have one version of security software running on your computer at one time. It is not compatible with Norton 360^™ or Norton AntiVirus^™. Internet Security Pack will be your primary security software, offering you comprehensive online security.

At the beginning of the Internet Security Pack installation process, you'll see a list of potentially conflicting programs on your PC, if any are present. Once you click to agree, Internet Security Pack will attempt to remove these programs automatically (in some cases, you may be directed to manually remove a program).

Will I have to sign in to the security software each time I get on my computer?
No. You will need to sign in the first time Internet Security Pack launches, then it will automatically launch each time you start your computer.

How do I know I have the latest virus definitions?
Internet Security Pack constantly checks to ensure your system is equipped with our current virus definitions. When new virus definitions are identified, important software updates will be automatically downloaded and installed on your computer to provide more up-to-date protection.

What should I expect after the Internet Security Pack installation process?

1. After your computer restarts, it may take a few minutes for Internet Security Pack to start. During this time, Windows^® may warn you about your system not being protected. You may dismiss these messages if they're shown during the first few minutes after starting your computer.
2. Internet Security Pack will start running in the background, using the default settings. To view or change settings, open Internet Security Pack and click the Settings button.
3. The program will check for updates or new virus signatures to make sure that you have our very latest protection. This first update may take a while, but subsequent updates will be much smaller and quicker.
4. The program will perform a quick automatic scan of critical areas on your computer.
5. You should do a full scan of your computer with the new software as soon as you can. This very first scan will take a long time, so you may want to run your first full scan when you are not using your computer. After your first scan, subsequent scans will only check new or changed files, so they will be very quick.
